Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the Supervisor, Rig Move position is to plan and supervise all operations related to the rig move and ensure that all work being performed during the rig move is done safely and efficiently in accordance with the AMHEC procedure.

Job Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all safe work procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) are adhered to.
  • Attend the route survey together with truck pushers prior to start the rig move.
  • Develop a rig route map to be followed during the course of the rig move.
  • Coordinate with AMHEC’s fleet and transport department regarding availability and readiness of rig move fleet (cranes, wheel loader & Trucks).
  • Make sure all required certificates for manpower and equipment are valid.
  • Make sure all required certificates to be communicated to the client in advance.
  • Make sure the deficiencies must be corrected or eliminated prior to the equipment mobilization.
  • Ensure that all hazards associated to the rig move operation are minimized to As Low As Reasonably Possible (ALARP).
  • Meet with Rig Move manager upon reaching of fleet to the rig site and at completion of the rig move.
  • Plan for escorting trucks convoy during rig move operation specially in highways and restricted areas.
  • Arrange availability of food and diesel for the fleet, if not arranged by the client.
  • Make sure all timesheets and required documents completed by truck pusher after completion of rig move.
  • Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops the Rig Move team to ensure that the objectives are reached.
  • Is responsible for the development, performance appraisal and succession planning of all direct and indirect reports.
  • Promotes a highly effective management and leadership style in line with AMHEC’s values and that supports the achievement of its strategy and objectives.
  • Identifies potential successor for his/her position; oversees and implements developmental plans for identified successors.
  • Identifies and monitors key Rig Move functional KPIs, and devises plans and initiatives for improvement.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.

 

HSE Responsibility:

  • Promotes and disseminates a positive health and safety culture and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
  • Ensures employee health and safety programs and guidelines are developed, regularly maintained, implemented, reviewed and complied with.
  • Identifies any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and recommends and implements measures and solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Complies with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
  • Identifies and reports to management any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and cooperate with his/her supervisor’s instructions.

 

QHSE Authority:

  • Process Control: to oversee and control processes execution to ensure they conform to planned arrangements, including documented procedures and work instructions.
  • Monitoring and Measurement: to ensure that appropriate monitoring and measurement activities are conducted to verify that product/service requirements are met.
  • Communication: to facilitate communication within their team(s). 
  • Continuous Improvement: to identify opportunities for improvement, implement necessary changes, and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Internal Audits: to participate in internal audits as part of the AMHEC's internal audit program and to ensuring that their areas are prepared for and cooperate during internal audits.
  • Nonconformity and Corrective Action: to participating in the investigation and implementation of corrective actions.

 

Qualifications:

  • College graduate or diploma holder
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in supervisory or similar role.
  • Experience of transport industry (trucking background) or related industry and knowledge of lifting operation.
  • Good knowledge of rig move equipment.
  • Good MS Office skills particularly in Excel, Words and Power point.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must be willing to travel at short notice.
