Job Purpose:

The main purpose of Supervisor, Ready Line position is to effectively supervise the ready line equipment process, to ensure the readiness of equipment for rental purposes and to deliver equipment fully functional and operational as per OEM standards and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops inspection plans and schedules for demobilized and pre-mobilized equipment.
  • Follows up the repair status for the equipment under maintenance/repair.
  • Assess the workload, prioritize inspections, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Coordinates the daily work of inspectors and provides deep and detailed inspection of equipment.
  • Reviews documentation such as inspection records, maintenance records, Equipment records.
  • Tracks and reviews the process of repairs on the system and closes the work order and MRF accordingly.
  • Supervises inspection teams, ensuring that inspections are conducted accurately and efficiently.
  • Receives and schedules inspectors to inspect the demobilized equipment and raise MRF / IR based on the output of inspection.
  • Ensures that inspections are conducted in accordance with the requirements and provides guidance to ensure compliance throughout the organization.
  • Travels between different sites and workshops.
  • Oversees the maintenance and inspection of the equipment assets to ensure they are in good condition.

  • Ensures all the ready line equipment are inspected on daily basis and comply with the requirement. 
  • Supervises the equipment handed in and handed over procedures.
  • Provides clear recommendations for corrective actions and communicates the findings to relevant departments, such as operators, maintenance personnel, and management.
  • Assigns inspection tasks, review inspection checklists, and ensures that inspections are conducted thoroughly and in compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Provides training and guidance to inspectors.
  • Completes the documentation in line with set procedures, maintaining records and proper reporting.
  • Performs commissioning inspection, and proof load tests for the new equipment.
  • Provides clear and concise communication of inspection findings and recommendations to operation and maintenance departments.
  • Prepares daily detailed reports for the ready line equipment.
  • Participates in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to loader and forklift inspection techniques and technologies.
  • Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops the Assets Management team to ensure that the objectives are reached.
  • Is responsible for the development, performance appraisal and succession planning of all direct and indirect reports.
  • Promotes a highly effective management and leadership style in line with AMHEC’s values and that supports the achievement of its strategy and objectives.
  • Identifies potential successor for his/her position; oversees and implements developmental plans for identified successors.
  • Identifies and monitors key Assets Management functional KPIs, and devises plans and initiatives for improvement.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.

  • Ensures employee health and safety programs and guidelines are developed, regularly maintained, implemented, reviewed, and complied with.
  • Identifies any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and recommends and implements measures and solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Complies with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
  • Identifies and reports to management any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and cooperate with his/her supervisor’s instructions.

  • Policy Implementation: to ensure that the QHSE policies and quality objectives are communicated, understood, and implemented within their respective departments.
  • Process Management: to manage and control processes within their respective departments. This may include defining procedure(s), ensuring compliance with quality requirements, and continuously improving processes.

  • Communication: to ensure that relevant quality information is communicated throughout their respective area.
  • Resource Allocation: to allocate resources, such as personnel and equipment to meet quality objectives and requirements.
  • Training and Competence: to ensure that their staff members are adequately trained and competent to perform their tasks.
  • Monitoring and Measurement: to establish and implement monitoring and measurement activities within their departments to ensure that products or services meet quality requirements.
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions: to be involved in the identification, implementation, and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions to address nonconformities and prevent their recurrence.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical engineering or Science or related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of related experience in the equipment rental industry is highly valuable.
  • Strong understanding of various types of Mobile cranes and heavy equipment is essential. This includes knowledge of different equipment categories, their capabilities, and their maintenance requirements.
  • Familiarity with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment is important. This includes knowledge of equipment safety protocols, preventive maintenance practices, and troubleshooting common issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and software relevant to equipment rental operations.
  • Effective Time Management.
  • Proficiency in communication skills verbal and writing.
  • Proficient computer skills (outlook, MS word, Excel).
  • GCC experience & valid driving license are desired.
