Job Purpose:

The main purpose of a Senior Inspector, HV & LV position is to lead inspections, ensure compliance and provide expert recommendations, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance in vehicle inspections and promoting continuous improvement in inspection practices.

Job Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts advanced inspections of heavy vehicles (MAN truck, Mercedes, Sino truck, Mitsubishi, Isuzu) and light vehicles (Mitsubishi, Toyota, Isuzu) to assess their overall condition, safety compliance, and roadworthiness. 
  • Receives the demobilized equipment, conducts the full inspection, and raises Maintenance request form through the system to maintenance department.
  • Follows up, tracks, and updates the MRF status with the concerned department.
  • Inspects thoroughly the HV/LV functions and components after the repair tasks and prior to sending the equipment to ready line. 
  • Takes responsibility and ensures that the equipment is fully operational as per the OEM standards and client requirements. 
  • Conducts visual and technical inspections, functional tests, to identify any defects, wear and tear, or potential hazards.
  • Responds promptly to the inspection request prior to the mobilization and be available on call 24/7.
  • Inspects components such as engine oil, coolant level, brakes, tires, lights, signals, suspension, steering, and other essential systems.
  • Ensures that HV/LV vehicles meet safety regulations and comply with OEM standards/Saudi Arabian regulation. 
  • Inspects the HV accessories such as (fifth wheels, spare tire, kingpin, 7-way connectors).
  • Performs daily inspection for the ready line equipment to ensure its readiness and to report any findings prior to the mobilization.
  • Completes the documentation in line with set procedures, maintains records and proper reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with the drivers, maintenance personnel, and his superiors to convey inspection findings, explain safety concerns, and provide recommendations for corrective actions. 
  • Is responsible for guiding the junior inspectors. Provide guidance and support in complex inspection scenarios.
  • Perform commissioning inspection and receive the new vehicles and their documents.
  • Maintains inspection records and forwards them daily to the operation department.
  • Conducts a drive test to assess vehicle components and systems to ensure its readiness.
  • Travels between company’s yards for inspection and testing.
  • Collaborates with maintenance and operations teams to address identified issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Interprets inspection results to accurately assess the condition of the vehicle.
  • Prepares detailed inspection reports, fills inspection checklists, documents findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Participates in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to vehicle inspection techniques and technologies.
  • Promotes safety awareness among personnel and reports any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.

 

HSE Responsibilities:

  • Identifies any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and recommends and implements measures and solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Complies with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
  • Identifies and reports to management any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and cooperate with his/her supervisor’s instructions.

 

QHSE Authority:

  • Contribute to the QMS: to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system (QMS) by implementing processes in accordance with their roles and responsibilities.
  • Participate in Training and Apply Competence: to participate in training programs to develop and maintain the necessary competence for their roles, and to apply their competence to perform work activities and contribute to the effectiveness of the QMS.
  • Follow Procedures and Control of Production and Service Provision: to follow documented procedures and work instructions relevant to their work.
  • Report Changes and Nonconformities: to report any changes in their work environment or processes that could affect the conformity of AMHEC's products or services, report any nonconformities and suggest corrective actions to prevent their recurrence.

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience of working as a HV/LV senior inspector, demonstrating a deep understanding of vehicle inspection processes, techniques, and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine operation, braking systems, electrical systems, suspension, steering, and other relevant aspects of vehicle mechanics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise inspection reports.
  • Managing multiple inspections and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance at sites, meetings and at the office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Effective Time Management.
  • Advanced computer skills (outlook, MS word, Excel).
  • GCC experience & valid driving license are desired.
