Job Title: HSE Officer – Rig Move Operations

Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Reporting To: HSE Supervisor / HSE Manager
Job Type: Full-Time | Site-Based (Field Operations)

 

Position Overview:

Experienced HSE Officer to support and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies during rig move operations across various onshore locations in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in field safety during rig-up, rig-down, and transportation phases, and possess a sound understanding of industry and Saudi Aramco HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor day-to-day HSE compliance during rig move operations including dismantling, loading, transport, offloading, and rig-up activities.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments across rig move sites.
  • Support HSE Supervisor in implementing risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and lifting plans.
  • Participate in and lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and pre-job meetings with crews and contractors.
  • Ensure the correct use of PPE and compliance with site safety procedures.
  • Identify unsafe acts and conditions and take appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
  • Assist in incident/accident reporting, investigation, and follow-up.
  • Maintain HSE records, inspection checklists, and daily reports.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture among rig crew, drivers, crane operators, and other field personnel.
  • Assist in emergency drills and ensure readiness of firefighting, first aid, and H2S safety equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience, with at least 1–2 years in Rig Move or Drilling Operations.
  • NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or equivalent international HSE certification.
  • Valid certifications in H2S Awareness, First Aid, Fire Fighting, and Defensive Driving are preferred.
  • Familiar with Saudi Aramco HSE standards and site requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting operations, heavy equipment safety, and transportation risks.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
