Job Purpose :

The main purpose of the Buyer is ensuring timely and cost-effective procuring of AMHEC’s assigned goods and service and to research alternative possible channels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform RFQ processes with the approved vendors as per the received PR.

Evaluate the received quotes and prepare the commercial bid evaluation form.

Negotiate the contractual terms to ensure the cost-effective goods delivery.

Issue PO for the approved vendor and follow up till the delivery in a timely manner.

Assess the supplier’s service level and update the approved vendor list accordingly.

Search dynamically for new suppliers to improve the bidding list and to assure more competitiveness.

Analyze and forecasts AMHEC current and future buying trends, with attention to specified targets.

Develops and maintains good relationships with AMHEC’s suppliers.

Log all the purchases and upload it to the ERP system for proper tracking and classification.

Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.

Health & Safety:

Complies with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health and safety and welfare of self and others.

Identifies and reports to management any health, safety or environment risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and co-operate with his/her supervisors instructions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration

Required Skills:

Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement and contracts negotiation preferably in a comparable operation to AMHEC.

Knowledge of equipment and rental industry.

Computer literacy including knowledge of MS- Office applications and basic software applications ERP knowledge is a must.

Previous experience in GCC is a plus, especially if the experience was in Saudi Arabia

English fluency is a must; Arabic is a plus.

Work Conditions:

Nature of work may require working hours beyond standard working hours.
