The main purpose of the Techno-Functional Consultant, HCM position is to effectively deliver/implement, support, and enhance Oracle Fusion HCM modules to provide an integrated information system solution to AMHEC.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Reporting to the Unit Head, Integrated Business Solutions, Techno-Functional Consultant, HCM will provide expertise in the areas of Fusion Cloud SaaS & PaaS, primarily HCM core, Payroll, Fast Formula, Benefits, Absence Management, Approval Hierarchy & Time and Labor, Talent Management, OTBI and HCM Extracts, HDL, OTBI, PBL, Security, Scheduler.
  • Facilitate and actively participate in all phases of the Implementation cycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, system design and development.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and prepare functional design documents.
  • Execute and implement solutions as per the business requirement with the deployment of new and enhanced functionality and business flow.
  • Provide continual assessment and review of unit testing and integration plans to ensure the solutions meet the business need and are working as designed.
  • Facilitate business by testing, troubleshooting, and providing post go live Support.
  • Actively participate in the troubleshooting phase once the product has gone "live".
  • Assist business users in mapping and streamlining/reengineering business practices to implement various Oracle Fusion cloud modules, using standardized implementation methodology including reports specification development and deployment.
  • Assist, coach, and mentor other engagement team members on issues they may encounter in the design and implementation of solutions.
  • Identify functionality gaps in Oracle HCM Cloud and build extensions for them.
  • Responsible for payroll processes and following setups time entry and time calculation layouts and rules, elements, element entry, balance definitions, calculation cards, retro events, object groups, payroll relationships.
  • Responsible for setup and maintaining payroll costing and costing to GL integration.
  • Responsible for developing and adhering to engagement team project standards to ensure the delivery of quality deliverables.
  • Responsible for developing reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, and application extensions.
  • Responsible for configuring and providing support for HCM Mobile app.
  • Identify business requirements and map them to the Oracle HCM Cloud functionality.
  • Assist business by preparing validation scripts, testing scenarios, and developing test scripts for Oracle HCM Cloud Fusion configurations.
  • Validate configuration and data for Oracle HCM Cloud Fusion configurations/setups and provide support.
  • Work with technical team in reviewing technical specifications and translating technical issues/requests in a manner that can be understood by the business users, and vice versa.
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.
  • Provide level (4) support for any escalated with the users, handholding and respond to queries.
  • Perform root cause analysis for frequently occurring issues and provide permanent fix.
  • Evaluate requirements from users, prepare change requests for approval by change management with solution approach, with effort and cost estimates.
  • Review functional setups & configuration and take corrective action.
  • Raise support tickets with Oracle support and follow up for solution.
  • Coordinate with Oracle support, DBA, Technical consultant, and other Functional consultants for implementing bug fixes through the appropriate processes currently in place.
  • Provide user training to users on new functionalities.
  • Advise management on roadmap for Application enhancements, identification, implementation of new, advanced functionalities and new modules. (on need basis).
  • Advise management on roadmap for Application and database upgrade, implementation of newer features (on need basis)
  • Provide periodic status report to management (weekly, monthly).
  • Develops and documents AMHEC’s expertise, know-how, controls, and capabilities within the Oracle ERP.
  • Leverages existing solutions and design to drive standardization and simplification to reduce future implementation timelines and costs.
  • Identifies and monitors key IT functional KPIs, and devises plans and initiatives for improvement.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.
