Description

The main purpose of the Specialist, HR position is to support and guide employees in order to maintain and improve employee morale and productivity.

 

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support all employees with available services at AMHEC, based on their individual requests.
  • Review employee requests for loans, annual or other approved leave types, business travel processing etc. and track the individual requests.
  • Recommend appropriate actions to the Assistant Manager – HRD and Manager – HR & Administration on each employee request; seek approval, communicate and process the final decision.
  • Communicate a reminder of the existing employee policies in the Employee Handbook to all employees to ensure compliance, as and when updates to the Human Resources policies and procedures are approved.
  • Attend employee negotiations and disciplinary hearings and document the minutes of such meetings and obtain employee acknowledgement on the approved templates and discussions.
  • Document all queries, complaints or grievances in database or register and investigate employee complaints and grievances.
  • Ensure that complaints and grievances are addressed in a timely manner and resolved. Document the corrective action or resolution provided.
  • Keep abreast of Labour Laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and employment and termination laws and procedures in the countries of employees and inform the Recruitment team.
  • Provide recommendations pertaining to employee rights and employment practices, safety and ethical work hours, to enhance the existing employee policies and AMHEC’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide required information – about AMHEC, its departments etc. in a comprehensive format to the new joiners as part of the employee induction program.
  • Draft Employment certificate, oral or written warnings etc.
  • Review personnel files for any past incidents, accidents, disciplinary action etc., retain access to the same and maintain confidentiality.
  • Monitor leave balances for all approved leave types – medical, annual, examination etc.
  • Perform separation formalities such as exit interviews etc. at the points of resignation or termination at AMHEC.
  • Attend final exit interviews for both resignation and termination to identify and reduce the causes for any attrition.
  • Adhere to all employee and process level policies and procedures as per the approved Human Resources P&P manual.
  • Liaise with HR teams and all departments at AMHEC, as required, in order to fulfill the objectives of the function.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources with a major or Diploma in Psychology.
  • 2 – 4 years of core Human Resources experience in Industry, Contracting, Heavy Equipment Rental and Oil and Gas contracting sector.
  • Well versed with Saudi Labor Law
  • Certification in Human Resources will be a plus. /Preferred CIPD- 5
  • SHRM-Certified Professional

 

Working Conditions

  • Nature of work may require working beyond standard working hours.

 

Physical / Travel Requirements

  • Travel (up to 40%) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to AMHEC’s sites, yards and branches meeting employees, both on and off-shore locations, at client sites and employee accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
